The UMD Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology faculty participate fully in the University’s biochemistry, molecular biology, and biophysics graduate program (www.med.umn.edu/duluth/about/BMB.html). Students are subject to the same entrance and degree requirements as all other University biochemistry graduate students. Up to two semesters of coursework on the Twin Cities campus may be required for doctoral students, depending on their needs and interests. Postdoctoral students are welcome and find favorable opportunities for continued research. Teaching and research assistantships are available to some students through the department as a form of financial aid.
