College of Liberal Arts (CLA)
At the heart of every great university is a college encompassing the
fundamental disciplines of knowledge. That college at the University
of Minnesota is the College of Liberal Arts (CLA). The college was
formally established in 1868, 17 years after the founding of the University.
CLA undergraduates study with faculty scholars and creative artists
who are defining the future in their fields of study.
