The mission of the College of Biological Sciences (CBS) is to advance knowledge
of the mechanisms of life through breakthrough discoveries and prepare
today’s students to create the biology of tomorrow. To accomplish
this mission, the college integrates a strong basic research program with
both traditional and innovative classroom teaching and with intensive mentoring
of students at all levels.
