The professional doctor of physical therapy (D.P.T.) degree
prepares graduates for physical therapy practice. The degree
requires three years of year-round graduate study, including
academic coursework, research activity, and clinical internships.
Doctoral thesis credits do not apply and a dissertation
is not required. D.P.T. graduates are eligible to apply
for state registration or licensure according to the given
state's law. The program is accredited by the Commission
on Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). For admission standards
